Deer hunter
Ah, wilderness, feeling like I am in the middle of nature, no human tampering, no buildings, no stores, no streets. And all this in the middle of London. Amazing. Oh yeah, last weekend I went to London, so there is a whole bunch of photos coming alone.
There is no spoon
Literally .For 2 months now I have no spoon in the whole house. I either forget or I’m to lazy to buy and it makes things rather difficult for me., especially regarding eating.
Now what was I saying ? Oh yeah, pigeons in Istanbul . Lots of them.
Skogar waterfall
Yet again Iceland, I’m starting to get lost myself among the huge pile of photos that collected through time and most of them from the past have not even been published, but I’m doing my best 🙂
Also I fixed the characters settings on the blog so romanian and also chinese characters appear correctly now. Because it seems that THIS post started a real fuzz and some people are just not used to see nudity, find it offensive. I think it’s just funny to see people denying their own nature and brainwashed by modern false moral and unnatural uprising. And I find the guy from Barcelona rather funny, and when I’l see him again I will make sure I make a longer and more in depth series of photos.
Oh well, at least it made my blog well known 😀
Vihren live @ swinging hall, Sofia
Well.. why the hell not. Vihren is a colegue of mine from Gameloft Bulgaria that has a band that is very very good live. So I make my little part of promoting as much as I can.
And also happy birthday from me, it was his birthday concert 🙂
Istanbul docks
I was kind of impressed with Istanbul, It’s so crowded and chaotic, like a huge market. I found it interesting that everywhere I went to buy something the people insisted on negotiating. So it was very strange when I walk into a hi-tech photo equipment shop the salesman started to negotiate with me for a (actualy very expensive) tripod that I eventually never bought.
But what shocked me in the worse kind of way was the fact that internet is censored there. I tried to acces a youtube link and this came onscreen .
Before the never coming night
I like to use all kind of word plays related to the fact that in Iceland in summer the day lasts forever :).
ps: and hopefully the posting problem is fixed once and for all (seem that there was a second problem, one of the plugins tried to connect to an external database and it gave a ping timeout or something).
The bad birds
And this would also be my first upload of something filmed with the 5d :). This being my first please don’t criticize too much and forgive the badly chosen music 🙂
So I was walking in the middle of the nowhere when I see these beautiful, hawk-like birds sitting on the ground. As soon as I got a little closer they took off and attacked me (or at least tried to scare me off ).
In Bruges
Since the last few weeks and especially this week the traffic from Belgium has surpassed the one from Romania (I’d really like to know why) maybe it’s a good time for this post.
So ever since I watched the movie I had this big urge to visit Belgium’s best preserved medieval town. It wasn’t that the movie tried to make a big impression of it (in fact if you follow the dialogues it’s the other way around), however the directing and soundtrack made sure it stayed in your head forever. So since I didn’t have many options on flights returning from Iceland I had to get a Wizz Air (btw I will never ever fly this airline again) from Bruxelles 2 days after I arrived in Koln. And my best option was to spend these days in this town that I always wanted to visit.
Bruges was beautiful. Peaceful, old, romantic in some way but commercial in another.A lot of chocolate in different shapes and sizes some of theme really obscene :). It even had the swans like the movie said. And Alcoves. That was the right word.. Alcoves?
The wild north
Ok, I removed the teaser post on the reason of being too “fitos” 🙂 . So, here starts the photo series from my 8 days trip to Iceland. The most beautiful, wildest and natural place I have ever seen. No word can describe the feeling of being there, witness to something probably very similar to what the world looked like millions of years ago. But I’ll come back to writing another time.
Here is lake Jökulsárlón, the biggest glacial lake in Iceland, a recent one that came with the fast melting of the Vatnajökull glacier, and still growing in size. The ice comes sliding from the mountains (you can see the river of ice in the first picture, in the background), onto the lake and then the ocean. One of the most beautiful sights on earth, especially on sunset. Like I said, the sun didn’t actually set, being a polar day, it just went a little bit under the horizon.
